Tate McRae's 10-Minute Beauty Routine for Glowy Skin & Glittery Eyes

00:00Hey allure, it's Tate McRae here and this is my 10 minute beauty routine.

00:07Today I'm going to be doing a pretty natural, glowy, sparkly eye situation.

00:13It's pretty much the only look I got down pat, so we are going to attempt today, hopefully

00:18it goes well.

00:19The first product I'm going to use is Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, and I actually have

00:25been seeing this all over the internet recently, where people take moisturizer and they mix

00:31it with their foundation.

00:34So I started trying it and it's been so great.

00:37Usually if you just don't want your foundation too heavy, which I hate it so much when it's

00:42too heavy, I like to just mix them together.

00:45I'm using Clinique Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum.

00:53So it's a sunscreen too.

00:55So I'm going to mix these together and just kind of go lightly across my face.

01:06Usually I keep it very natural on the foundation, I don't like to do too much, especially because

01:12when I get on stage usually, or go throughout my day, I am doing a lot.

01:19Usually being really active, dancing, working out, so I like to not clog my skin.

01:24Okay, after I've kind of mixed that in and really blended it out, that's when I go in

01:35with an eyebrow gel.

01:38And I just keep it very simple.

01:39This is the Brow Fix Clear Brow Gel from Charlotte Tilbury.

01:45I'm going to just brush up and my makeup artist holds it down, so I think it stays

01:52more.

01:53There we go, and just brush them up.

01:57Okay, from here I'm going to take a concealer, the Clinique All Over Concealer, and I just

02:05hope that doesn't spread bad.

02:11And I'll usually just go in and blend underneath my eyes.

02:16I know that a lot of people hate beauty blenders.

02:19I use beauty blenders for everything, I think it's so much easier than brushes.

02:23And I also, usually when I'm on tour, do my makeup so fast, like so fast, that I need

02:32to just blend quick and get it done quick.

02:35I'm doing like an event, like an award show, I usually have Lily Keys, who's my makeup

02:39artist.

02:40She does my makeup and she's incredible, but I usually just keep it pretty simple with

02:45like a winged eyeliner, sparkles, bronzed, just like my basic, like what I would do for

02:51like old competition dance, kind of.

02:53I'm going to go in with the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer.

02:56This is one of my favorites, but it's so pretty pigmented, so I'm going to just go in like

03:03this and kind of blend all over.

03:10Okay, that should be good enough.

03:15Take this brush, this is a good brush to shape your nose, contour your nose too.

03:22I'm still working on this, so no one judge me, but go like that and you do a little triangle.

03:32I think that's what you're supposed to do, you should do a little triangle at the front

03:35of your nose and then you go down, so it like creates like a shadow and then kind of contour

03:43that out and then I like to do a little line right here, it looks crazy, and then I do

03:53two little like this and like a little line like that and that is kind of all I do for

04:00my nose contour, but my makeup artist does it much better than I do.

04:08And then, I'll go in with a blush.

04:11Okay, so I'm applying the Bare Minerals Kiss of Pink blush and I kind of like to do this

04:17across my nose, on my cheeks.

04:20I like that summer, you know, citrus look and I kind of just put some on my eyes because

04:26why not?

04:28Now that I've kind of shaped the front of my face, I go in with freckles, with a bow

04:34of freckles to like actually extra contour the nose.

04:37So I'll like dab them on my finger and then press them to my nose.

04:42I've found that is the most natural way to like put them on without them looking like

04:50black dots and yeah, that's what I kind of put there.

04:54Next up is my favorite part is usually the glitter that I add.

05:01This I think is the only reason why people think I'm good at makeup is because I cover

05:06myself in glitter on stage.

05:08So I'm going to take the Anastasia Beverly Hills palette and this is my favorite.

05:15Keep it safe and just do neutrals and browns, so I'm going to take like a neutral color

05:20right here, put it across my eye, kind of just like a clean palette.

05:26I kind of just pick the next one that's like next shade up and I'll go into my crease here,

05:35kind of start to draw my eye out like that.

05:38You can see it's like starting to create a shadow.

05:41I'm like talking like a makeup guru.

05:44You can see the shadow start and I'm just going to go into my crease.

05:49I kind of like to take a little bit of a grayish color.

05:53This is apparently what like people think is brown, but it is always like more of a

05:57grayish color just because it helps shape the eye and isn't too like intense.

06:03And then after that, I'm going to go in with a little bit darker.

06:09This is where it gets a little dicey.

06:12Go here, on the edge, and do like a triangle here.

06:23So first thing I'm going to take is I think this middle one.

06:26Oh my God.

06:31That's a lot of glitter.

06:32One sec.

06:33Okay, much better.

06:34So I would say this is more of like a stage look.

06:38This is something that I would attempt on stage because I don't know if I would go this

06:42glittery in like everyday life.

06:44But look at that.

06:45That's so pretty.

06:46I love glitter.

06:47It makes everything so much better.

06:50Okay, so that's what I kind of do.

06:53I'll start the front of the eyes.

06:56I'll take a little bit of this pink one.

06:59I'm going to take a darker brown and just kind of put it on a thinner brush and just

07:07kind of trace the line of like an eyeliner.

07:13And along my eye.

07:15I think the goal, I think what you really just have to do is like, when you don't really

07:20know how to do makeup, just kind of keep blending and you will get somewhere, in my opinion.

07:27Okay.

07:28I think that looks cute.

07:30Now I'm going to put on some mascara.

07:35I'm going to take the Telescopic Lift L'Oreal mascara.

07:40This mascara is actually so good.

07:41I usually like to just put my mascara out and then when I have a makeup artist or someone,

07:48I'll ask them to put a little lash on the end because I think it's so pretty.

07:52I'm always a person who, if I find something I like, I stick to it.

07:56I think it's always been easiest for me that way, especially traveling.

08:02I just never want to risk it.

08:03If I have a show that day, like I don't want to make my skin break out or something changes

08:07that just like doesn't react well, like sometimes I'll add like a few extra different ones,

08:12but it's pretty consistent whenever I do my makeup routine.

08:16After I've done that, I'm debating if I go in with concealer again.

08:19I don't think so.

08:20I'm going to leave it.

08:21I'm going to go in with this New Road Lip Shaper.

08:29Okay.

08:33It's cute.

08:34Okay.

08:35Now I'm going to blend it out a little and then I usually do a little lip liner.

08:43I'll do the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk.

08:47This is just a classic.

08:48I've used this for so many years and I can never get enough.

08:51It's the best color, the best shade, and I kind of just go into my lip as well.

08:56This is such a cute little pink color and I over line a lot because why not?

09:05After I do that, I'm going to take the Neutrogena Lip Oil, Hydro Boost Lip Oil.

09:13I'm going to put this on my lips.

09:15I have never done a matte lip.

09:17I'm sorry.

09:18I love a gloss and I will always be a glossy girl.

09:22It's such a fresh finish to makeup routines.

09:26I think that's it.
