00:00I'm going to try the one with a lot of pepper.

00:05I can't not try the tilapia of Lerito Viejos.

00:11I'm going to try the Sinugnong Tilapia, or tilapia cooked in coconut milk.

00:17Let's see.

00:21The most fruity taste is the grilled taste of whatever they grill.

00:28In this case, of course, the tilapia.

00:34Here in Kabinti, they use tilapia grilled for their Sinugnong.

00:39It's usually used for others, just plain tilapia grilled.

00:43The good thing about this, aside from the tilapia being smoked fish, it's grilled.

00:50So the aroma we get from the fish is doubled.

00:55They cook it in a clay pot to bring out the natural taste of the Sinugnong.

01:04they add pure coconut milk and boil it until it gets the right consistency.

01:12Our coconut juice has a little bit of sweetness and a little bit of sourness.

01:15Instead of using water, we used coconut juice.

01:20Then they add the grilled tilapia and mix it with vegetables.

01:26Sinugnong is usually cooked in Kabinti.

01:30This is one of the main ingredients used to make tilapia fish.

01:34It's also famous in Kabinti because it's one of the main sources of income for the locals here in Kabinti.
