00:05include long-term security guarantees. And I just want to ask you, first of all,

00:09do you think the U.S. is likely to get those guarantees?

00:12Or do you think the United States is being naive here?

00:15Well, what I'd first say is it's good to see that President Zelensky has

00:19moved off the mark from full NATO membership, which comes with a security guarantee.

00:25So there's no Article 5 commitment that would be dismissed out of hand.

00:30I think the Europeans, and possibly the Americans, would offer some security guarantees,

00:35but not pledges of security guarantees in terms of weapons support, in terms of military funding.

00:42But I think if he is looking for a pledge of an attack on him, Ukraine is an attack on all.

00:51I don't think he's going to get that.
