00:13And it probably comes as no surprise that some of the most expensive places for car
00:17parking are in London. As a matter of fact, it was reported that Bracknell Forest Council
00:22reportedly charges the most in the country at a rate of £6.65 an hour. According to
00:28Churchill Motor Insurance, most local authorities in the UK have bumped up parking charges by
00:33at least 11% since 2022. It's been theorised that councils could be raising these prices
00:39in an effort to encourage motorists to switch to public transport, or even as inciting a
00:44traffic management measure to encourage people to use alternative transport options.
00:49Now, when it comes to where you're most likely to get a parking fine in the UK, it's Manchester
00:55that reportedly sees an issuing of a fine so often that there is a rate of almost one
01:00per driver on the northern city's roads.
