00:00One thing a lot of us appreciate in video games is the opportunity to customise what our character is wearing.
00:06This can be a form of self-expression, or maybe wanting said character to look absolutely badass.
00:11Not all attires are readily available from the start, though, and in this list, we're going to be looking at 10 of the rarest costumes in video games.
00:19I'm Jess from WhatCulture, and here are the rarest video game costumes nobody unlocked.
00:248. Golden Quiet – Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain
00:28Metal Gear Solid V – The Phantom Pain was released back in 2015, not long after the teaser Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes launched onto consoles in 2014.
00:38Quiet, the mute companion of Snake in Metal Gear Solid V, has quite a few different outfits you can unlock.
00:44From being coated in silver paint to gearing up in all tactical wear, Quiet has an outfit for every occasion.
00:50Long-time fans of Hideo Kojima will be aware that he's a huge fan of the James Bond films, so naturally, one of the more slippery outfits to get comes in the form of a nod to the movie Goldfinger.
01:01The outfit involves Quiet being painted head-to-toe in gold, very reminiscent of a particular scene.
01:07In order to get this one, you will have to max Quiet's Bond level to 100%, meaning it is no small feat.
01:15You'll be taking Quiet with you on the vast majority of the missions to get that Bond up, something a lot of players might not manage to do in their initial playthrough.
01:23On top of the Bond being maxed out, you'll also need to pay 570,000 currency and have an R&D level of 22.
01:317. Look at the Buns on Chris Resident Evil is no stranger to bizarre and downright absurd costumes, which you can unlock for the many different characters throughout the series.
01:41Usually, the more skimpy and strange ones are reserved for the ladies, for example Jill's revealing unlockable outfit from Resident Evil Deadly Silence.
01:49Capcom did make it up to players at long last in Resident Evil Revelations, though.
01:54The tables here were finally turned on Chris Redfield, making a nice change.
01:58If players were able to amass a total of 100,000 points from a single run in Raid mode, they'd be awarded this beautiful sailor outfit.
02:07I do say outfit here in the loosest possible terms.
02:10This stunning little sailor get-up is accompanied by a set of white gloves, a sailor hat, and some cheeky tattoos, all of which help to pull this very revealing sailor costume together.
02:20So, move over Jill, you are no longer the hottest one on this boat.
02:236. Xenoblade Chronicles – Zelda Breath of the Wild
02:27The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild has Link running around and exploring a huge, sprawling world filled with treasures and mysteries to uncover.
02:35You'll spend many hours fighting, grafting, exploring, and scavenging to fully complete all the game has to offer.
02:41That doesn't even include all the DLC the game has to offer, either.
02:44One of these is a DLC you probably missed, but it is available for free on the Nintendo Store.
02:49When installed, it unlocks a mission to find the unique outfit, the Salvager Set.
02:54This snazzy little get-up was part of a cross-promotion with Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
02:58Once all set, there will be three separate locations you need to go to.
03:02These locations must be approached at just after 9pm in-game, or the events won't trigger.
03:07When those requirements are fulfilled, you'll notice a red shooting star falling into certain locations around Hyrule.
03:13When they land, a red column of light will shine bright into the sky, leading you to a unique set of red treasure chests.
03:20Collect all three to unlock this exclusive outfit.
03:23Each piece increases the player's swim speed, and wearing all three at the same time grants an additional bonus.
