00:00This is the 75th anniversary of the Independence Day of Pakistan.

00:27I would like to congratulate every Pakistani who is living in Liyue on this very special

00:32day for us.

00:33This is the day to remember the sacrifices made by our forefathers and just to take cue

00:38from them, have their role towards the development of Pakistan and also a very positive work

00:45in Liyue which they are doing.

00:47We have almost 1.7 million Pakistanis in Liyue and this is the second largest Pakistani population

00:53anywhere in the world.

00:54The first one is in Saudi Arabia and of course they have a very positive impact on the economy

00:59of Pakistan.

01:00Last year they have contributed almost 6 billion US dollars towards the economy of Pakistan.

01:05We congratulate the entire Pakistani community who are in Liyue, Pakistan Association of

01:16Liyue, along with the consulate and the embassy have planned a series of events and activities

01:26for this day.

01:27We believe that the community in Liyue is a strong community as the consulate general

01:33pointed out that we contribute strongly to the economy of Pakistan.

01:38That is not just back in Pakistan but even here in Liyue.

01:42The Pakistani community forms a significant segment of the Liyue society.

01:47We live in cohesion with other communities.

01:49We spread the spirit and the message of tolerance.
