The Hub in Newport Shropshire Celebrates Their Fifth Anniversary

00:00My name's Abby, I'm the Youth Officer at The Hub, and today we're celebrating our fifth birthday.

00:05Yeah, it's been absolutely amazing. We've got such a big team of volunteers behind us,

00:10helping us keep going forward, and we do some great work with the young people of Newport and the local community.

00:16So The Hub is part of a community cafe, and in the wider picture of the Newport Youth Cafe project.

00:23So we do a lot of work with our youth in Newport, as well as providing lots of bits of provisions for

00:29all the way from zero, up to our lovely ladies.

00:33We want all people to be able to come and volunteer, whether it's one hour, five hours,

00:38whether they just want to serve coffee, whether they just want to serve tables,

00:42and give them that opportunity to be able to work with us.

00:46We do our private hires here, council meetings in the evening,

00:50and yeah, just offering the space out to as many community groups as possible.

00:54We're definitely on the up. We've been gaining a lot more traction recently,

00:58which has been amazing to see so many people and so many new faces.

01:02Old faces stay and new faces come, and we're looking forward to the next five years.
