00:07after a tree was uprooted during a heavy downpour accompanied by strong winds on Friday.

00:12Larkin Fire Station Operations Commander Firdaus Abdullah said they received a distress call

00:17at 5.04pm and immediately dispatched 10 firefighters, along with a fire rescue tender and an emergency

00:24medical rescue service unit to the scene.

00:27Upon arrival, they found that the fallen tree had caused significant damage to the

00:31shops and vehicles.

00:33Firefighters assisted by four personnel from the Johor Bahru City Council's Squad Kilat

00:37Unit worked to remove the tree and clear the affected area.

00:41Earlier, the Meteorological Department had issued a warning about thunderstorms, heavy

00:46rain and strong winds expected in several parts of the country.
