00:04for their leader, Mirna Solarte, alias Maria Malaya, to join them.

00:09According to AFP Chief General Romeo Browner, Jr.,

00:12the NPA will have a hard time coordinating with their other allies

00:17now that Maria Malaya has been killed.

00:20Maria Malaya was killed by soldiers in an encounter

00:24in Barangay Pianing, Butuan City last Wednesday.

00:28Browner also praised the excellent dedication of the soldiers

00:31and the support of the civilians,

00:33which is why the operation against Maria Malaya was a success.

00:38On the other hand, Browner is confident

00:40that the military will continue the fight

00:43against any threat to the country's peace.

00:48Today, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development of HSUD

00:54celebrates its 6th anniversary with the theme,

00:586 Years of Empowering Lives, Building Homes,

01:02Building Futures for Every Filipino Family.

01:04In his message, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin

01:09emphasized the importance of the role of the Department of Human Settlements

01:12in society, especially in providing affordable housing,

01:16which is the primary need of every citizen.

01:20Bersamin also recognized the responsibility given to the Department of Human Settlements

01:25to fulfill the two flagship programs of President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr.,

01:30the 4PH Program and Pasig River Urban Development.

01:35He trusted the President that the Department of Human Settlements

01:39and other government housing agencies will fulfill their role

01:44in ensuring that every Filipino will have their own home.

01:49HSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino-Acuzar also promised

01:53that he will continue the development of efforts

01:57and efforts of his agency to fulfill the promise of the Marquez Administration

02:02to provide affordable housing for Filipinos.
