00:57broken their World Cup genes and what a win. Win by 10 wickets and beat India comprehensively.

01:02Congratulations to team Pakistan. You know the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka game obviously let's start

01:08with that one. It really did follow up on a great opening day today and then we had the India-Pakistan

01:18game. What was your take? Obviously like it was a pretty good game and I think what has

01:23happened is unfortunately Bangladesh read everything wrong. They thought it will be a spin

01:30the low bones wicket which was not the case. It was a beautiful Shahjahan batting track

01:34which we are all used to. So that was a pretty good game and yes but for those two drop catches

01:42things could have been a lot more closer but it was a very good game and on such a

01:48good perfect batting track, Saqibullah has ensured why he is the best all-rounder in the world.

01:54Getting too bold and right through the gate and it was a brilliant effort and hats off to Sri

02:02Lanka who's in the rebuilding process till they managed to play a very competitive cricket with

02:06all the youngsters there and it was quite an entertaining game. So let's see that Sri Lanka

02:15has got two points so they'll be slightly at ease going forward but Bangladesh need to pick

02:22up some or they need to eye notice certain flowers in this game especially I would say

02:28Mahmudullah needs to be a better captain, more active and take some bold decisions.

02:34So I think that over the period of time things will happen.

02:46Looking at that as just one result do you think that this could get you into the semi-finals?

02:55Well, I think Pakistan has today as Anisbhai said after 30 years

03:02team won and it's a pretty good win. Nobody was expecting 10 wicket win against a strong

03:10Indian batting and bowling lineup and but Pakistan did their homework well I think.

03:16I think this was the game as I said in the previous comment and I also

03:20quote in my comments that if Pakistan wins this game they will be in semi-finals

03:27and the second team will be India.

03:57Anis, now that we've got a couple of games under the belt how do you see it panning out?

04:06You know whether the group of death or also a group B the other which we say the easier group.

04:17Obviously the group where England, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh that looks

04:22a much stronger group compared to India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia.

04:28But let me first come to the group where India and Pakistan there like Ashfaqbhai said Pakistan

04:35winning today have taken them one step closer towards the semi-final because they had to beat

04:40one strong team they've already got that ticked. If they get into the next match against New Zealand

04:46with a win then they have to beat probably Afghanistan to get into the knockout or Namibia

04:52probably Scotland whereas India now are going to play the next match against New Zealand which is

04:58after a week which is actually a good thing for Team India because it gives them time to go back

05:03to the drawing board reflect on what mistakes they have made and I want to add to the point

05:08as much as Pakistan were clinical today in their performance without taking anything away from

05:14Pakistan you have to admit that India were flat today not only with their batting but I'm afraid

05:20their bowling and fielding a lot of people talk about dew and all but let's not talk about dew

05:26every time I mean dew can come you know it comes it doesn't come that doesn't give you an excuse

05:31that you lost the match because of dew you have to give the credit to the opposition they outplayed

05:36you in all departments as I said earlier Pakistan when they came they came with a lot of intent the

05:41first over bowl by Shaheen Afridi KL Rahul beautifully drove two balls one went to left of

05:46Babar one went to the right of Babar there are two boundaries that could have been two boundaries

05:51but that is what is shown intent then the moment Rahul got a single he pulled a fantastic yorker

05:56which has been the weakness we've all seen Rohit Sharma getting out to the inswinger to Mohamed

06:01Namir in the past he forgot that there is Shaheen Afridi got him LBW and then the second over I'm

06:06afraid Rahul has not learned that if you know there is a guy swinging the ball he needed to

06:13have guarded and probably played him out but that is fine I did not win for Virat Kohli

06:18we wouldn't have even scored 150 but that's the class of Virat Kohli but having said that Pakistan

06:24when they came on to bat they showed intent again with the bat they did not go into a shell

06:30generally when chasing you know teams generally go in a shell but Pakistan played positively

06:34and that positivity rubbed on both the players it started with Mohamed Rizwan and Babar Azam

06:40as a class act and both of them made sure that you know this 30 years of wait was

06:48worth waiting because they won by 10 wickets and this is a kick on Indian team on the back and

06:53I'm sure if they don't take it in the next year because India has never won against New Zealand

06:57in a world cup mind you like India Pakistan had never won against India India has never won in

07:02a world cup against New Zealand and their record against New Zealand in T20 is also bad probably

07:06they won two and they won eight so India don't beat New Zealand they're going to find it tough

07:11going to the knockout I think this is again going back to the selection I think we didn't select

07:16a batsman that's what I kept telling from since the day the selection was announced

07:20it may be a Shreyas Iyer or somebody an extra batsman in the team could have given that depth

07:26in the batting where I see him coming Satish I see him coming I wouldn't be surprised if they

07:31declare Hardik Pandya as injured yeah no but this match it's gone anyway we got if he had had

07:37one extra batsman as solid as a Shreyas Iyer or even Ishan Kishan for that matter was there maybe

07:43they could have picked him in that case the earlier batsman would have played a little bit

07:48more freedom than the circumspect with which they played Panth or even Kohli for that matter

07:55okay okay we're gonna have to we're still we're still gonna have to wrap it up guys

08:01Ashfaq want to say something Matt let him let him yeah yeah absolutely absolutely Ashfaq you get the

08:12the first over I want to tell you his record he stuck in the first over 21 times in T20 matches

08:20this is his this is his his game if he's stuck in the first this is the 22nd time he got wicket

08:25in the first over and I would say Pakistan team selection was absolutely spot on they put Sarfraz

08:31out and bring Mohammad Rizwan. Mohammad Rizwan not only scored well he took two brilliant catches

08:38behind the wicket which Sarfraz might not have taken and that would have been crucial so that

08:43selection was absolutely fine and the bowling use of bowling when there was a left-hander

08:51they bring down off spinners so he took the wicket so the use of captaincy bowling attack

08:58and everything was like spot on today Pakistan was like spot on on every field and they didn't

09:04drop catches it's even the old people like Shoaib Malik he was like skidding on boundaries to

09:13boundary line to stop the force I mean that was amazing amazing day for Pakistan. So what I'm

09:19saying is I mean everything just fell into place for Pakistan today and it was

09:28a day of maybe India just on another day might have another day for India. Yeah it's a great

09:36day for Pakistan yeah it could have been India's on another day. Yeah absolutely and Tom just as

09:43you come in just before we sign off 10 wickets fair result or do you think that India will

09:56completely bounce back from here? Yeah first of all apologies for dropping off then I don't know

10:07so I truly deserve their victory today 10 wickets yeah I mean it could have gone either way really

10:13but yeah they played brilliant and we're looking forward to India bouncing back against New Zealand
