00:00Good evening and welcome back to yet another edition of our special coverage of the cricket

00:07match versus India and Pakistan at the Cricket World Cup. So Pakistan has played out for the

00:13first 15 overs of their innings. Two important things there, one Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been

00:19ruled out of the rest of the match with an injury and we will also have to see Pakistan has got off

00:25to a steady start scoring 64 runs in the first 15 overs. So Ashfaq what happened to the pizzas?

00:32Well game is on and pizza is as well and it's a good start that's what they need to do. The

00:39danger man Fakhar Zaman is there, he's the same guy who won a champions trophy for Pakistan

00:46against India and if he stays there he's a danger man and so is Babar Azam and plenty to come. I

00:53think if they don't lose wicket this will be a good game. Do you think that they have played

00:59very sensibly in the first 15 overs? Yes after losing the first wicket of Imam they are consolidating

01:07the game though the wicket is getting slower and ball is not coming up to the bat and after the

01:13rain but they are playing very sensibly. Right but you know India had more or less the same

01:20approach although Pakistan is a little lagging behind in the runs. Are you worried about that?

01:26Not really because they have plenty of wicket in hand and plenty of batting to come and I'm

01:33sure this match is going to go to wires. Right so Leslie what are the odds now stacked against

01:39India or Pakistan? Yeah I mean the odds are wavering I mean the punters are not very sure

01:44where to put their money on. Pakistan have been dipping going low but I think at this point of

01:49time they definitely are very much in the match. When you're taking on a big total like this you

01:54have to have a massive plan in place and I think they're playing out the plan to perfection so far.

01:58They're playing a wait-and-watch kind of match. They may be behind on the run rate but with nine

02:04wickets in hand I don't think that's a problem. Right so how big a blow is Bhuvaneshwar Kumar's

02:10absence? Bhuvaneshwar Kumar's absence is certainly a huge blow if you look at the first few overs

02:19he's played some beautiful deliveries and missing the edge by very thin margins actually. In fact

02:25the first fell by both the bowlers actually there were a couple of unplayable deliveries. In fact

02:30Pakistan batsmen were very lucky to have not edged them. So I mean losing Bhuvaneshwar Kumar so early

02:39it's bad because he can be a handful in the death overs as well so I think that's a huge

02:45plus for Pakistan. Right but statistically who do you favor right now? Whose game is this? Right

02:52now it's anybody's game but if you look at Pakistan like Leslie and Ashfaq were saying

02:58I mean they've been playing very sensibly actually. The thing is the key now is the

03:04middle overs. Middle overs where the spinners come in but like Ashfaq said ball is stopping

03:09and coming. I didn't see that much happening but if the ball is stopping and coming then

03:14Pakistan have a problem because they have to force the pace and when the ball is stopping

03:18and coming if you're forcing the pace it's not going to clear the clear the boundary. Right so

03:23we saw Kohli already bring in Kuldeep Yadav, Satish and India has gone into this game with

03:29two spinners. So do you think that's a good strategy to have or should they have gone for

03:35another pacer in the form of Mahmud Shami? No actually Kohli is playing the mind games

03:41pretty well and strategically he is doing things pretty good. If you look at Kohli's

03:46main weapon is Yashwinder Chahal. Chahal becomes very dangerous especially if the batsmen go

03:54attacking him. So he is holding his trump card back because they are, Pakistan right

04:00now they are playing a very waiting game. So he is also making his move based on that.

04:05He is not brought in Yashwinder Chahal and he is bowling and if you look at Bhuvi's role in the

04:12death overs is important but actually if you look at Vijay Shankar has bowled three odd overs. So

04:18what he needs to do is fill in another four overs through Kedar Jadhav who can also arrest the runs

04:27flow. Basically right now the strategy is to cut the runs and make it as difficult as possible and

04:33increase the asking rate but on the contrary Pakistan against Australia they did the mistake

04:38of losing early wickets but they still came very close almost to 30-40 runs. They came close to

04:43winning. Wahab Riaz played a superb knock. So that must be the strategy they must be playing on their

04:53mind as well. So as of now I would say it's 55 India and 45 Pakistan right now because the

05:01rains have actually changed the conditions when Pakistan started batting. Right so my other

05:07question to Ashfaq is that Pakistan can bat as deep as Wahab Riaz which is like the number 10.

05:16So they have a lot of batting to come and these two batsmen the second wicket is going on very

05:21nice and smooth. So should we prepare for the pizzas or not? Yes if you don't lose wicket up

05:28to 30 over then I'm going to order pizza for all of you. Okay yeah make that a biryani maybe. No

05:35no pizza and samosa we can add. Yeah vegetable pizza for you. We are all going to have beef

05:46pizza. Okay yes we can. Interesting match that's what is expected from this match that's why this

05:55between Pakistan match is so crucial and that's why 1.5 billion people are watching this match.

06:01Right so and now we can see that again you know we were talking about Chahal as the trump card

06:07and Chahal is right now on so will this be the turning point Satish? Yes now the run rate is

06:16only about 4.5 so that means you know the asking rate is somewhere around 6 or 6 points close to

06:247. So you have to attack Chahal to get those runs. This is exactly where Pakistan made the

06:28mistake. If you look at middle over Imad Wasim and Shadab bowled very well but after 5 over spell

06:41Hafeez and Shoaib Malik were brought in and 2 overs you know like the momentum shifted. Probably

06:48you know like that shouldn't happen that's where we have Kohli has to be keen on you know like

06:53maintaining the momentum going. Right speaking of Shoaib Malik you know typically Shoaib Malik

06:58has always done very well against India along with Fakhar Zaman as we remember from the ICC

07:04Champions Trophy final. Yes. So what do you think Shyam should be India's strategy to counter these

07:09two? The main strategy should be to take wickets now in the middle overs like I said earlier so

07:15the if you look at the previous matches Indian spinners seem to pick up wickets see that's when

07:22the pressure comes in. So if India can get a couple of wickets here with the middle overs Chahal

07:26or even Kuldeep Yadav for that matter coming up that brings pressure on the batsmen. So even if

07:34say let's say somebody like Shoaib Malik who has got a wonderful record against India if the run rate

07:40is going up he doesn't have any choice but to attack. He just have to throw caution in the wind

07:46that is where India's strategy should lie. Simply get a couple of quick wickets and the

07:53pressure will be firmly back on Pakistan and the game will change. Right so the game is poised in
