00:30We want to share the deep culture of Leyte, Limasawa, it's for all of the Filipino people.

00:48This show is not just for the sake of the show, we're here to collaborate with the people

00:56of Dubai, especially in universities and colleges here in Dubai.

01:02We want to have cultural exchange, research and extension exchange, instruction, student

01:09exchange and faculty exchange.

01:11That's the good thing about our visit in Dubai, it's not only about dances, it's about education,

01:19it's about instruction and research.

01:22The Limasawa journey was, it was not easy for us, you know, coming from the Philippines,

01:31we really have to sacrifice a lot of time for the practices that we need in order to

01:38realize this Limasawa journey coming to Dubai.

01:43It's been three years since we've had a cultural show featuring cultural performances from

01:48people from the Philippines.

01:50Once in a while we have some groups like the Leyte Normal University that reminds us

01:54exactly why we are so different, why the whole world looks at the Filipino as the creative

02:00genius, especially as far as the performing arts and theatre arts are concerned.

02:05There are many children here in the United Arab Emirates who have been studying and living

02:10here in Dubai, and because we have so much to offer with regards to our cultural heritage,

02:16such programs like this should be often, like every year at least, to be presented in Dubai.

02:23It is very culturally oriented and it's very educational as well.

02:27It's really nice because for people who live in UAE, who don't have, who didn't have much

02:34of the education of the history of the Philippines, this show really showed us the true roots

02:40of what the Philippines was.

02:42Seeing an event like this shows us the cultural importance of the Philippines.

02:47It helps us to know more about the history of the Philippines, especially to young people

02:52like me, and also to the people who didn't have the chance to be educated in the Philippines.
