00:00Eva Longoria hosted the Global Gift Gala for the fourth year in Dubai on Monday night.

00:13The star-packed red carpet event at the Four Seasons Hotel was also graced by Hollywood

00:18stars Melanie Griffith, Andy MacDowell and Luke Hemsworth among other celebrities.

00:24The event was organized as part of the Dubai International Film Festival to raise funds

00:29for Dubai Cares and the Global Gift Foundation.

00:59To give forth to the future, to what we have on our planet, to people, to children, it's

01:05very important to realize that it's not just all about the red carpet.

01:09It really is about what we're trying to make a difference in as our world.

01:13I don't feel as though I do enough.

01:15I'm involved in a couple of things, so the first charity that I became involved with

01:22was the Anti-Bullying Pro Campaign in the UK, looking to make school a kind of happier

01:27and safer place for young people in the UK.

01:29Funds raised during the gala will go toward supporting programs in four different continents

01:34in a joint undertaking by Dubai Cares, Harmony House, the Eva Longoria Foundation and the

01:39Global Gift Gala's Casa Global Gift.
