00:00Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor are currently in Dubai shooting a portion of their new film

00:14Ki and Ka, a romantic comedy centered on the gender roles inherent in an Indian marriage.

00:19The duo, along with award-winning director R. Belki, have taken some time out from their

00:24hectic filming schedule to share with fans what the film is about and what it is like

00:28to tackle this type of socially relevant topic.

00:58It's something that I genuinely love and care about in Arjun, as a friend, as a family.

01:04And now to actually romance him and play my husband, it was a little unnerving.

01:10But like I said, the thing that, you know, I think this generation of actors, I think

01:16they also switch on and switch off and I think they do it so well.

01:19He's matured into, I think, a very intense actor because I think that's his personality

01:25or he likes to come across as very intense.

01:28But I think it's his work to prevent all the violence.

01:31The film deals with exactly what we all are aware of.

01:34It's just we've underlined and highlighted it in a particular way where we will question

01:39certain things in the course of the film.

01:40Hopefully, we will find answers and hopefully, the intelligent audience will stop looking

01:46at it in a way of, women should do this and men should do this.

01:49It's about these people who are doing what must enjoy themselves and must be passionate

01:53and fulfil their responsibilities as well as enjoy working.

01:56Me and Karishma also have been brought up with the thing that we look at ourselves as

02:01working women, independent.

02:05Even now when I'm married, that's a separate part of me.

02:09I don't carry that with me when I'm working.

02:12You know, the fact is that my own husband looks up to me and respects me because I'm

02:18a working angel and we've had conversations that probably he's even told me that I don't

02:22even know when you're not working, how you will be because he's known me as being this

02:30girl who's used to working 12-14 hours a day.

02:33I just want to tell you, this is the first time I've come outside India to do the film.

02:37This is my seventh film and forever and ever, Dubai shall remain my most favourite city.

02:42I've got to tell you, it's a pleasure for me.

02:46I will always continue to balance working with the Ghans in very, very big-budget commercial

02:53films at the same time as trying to do nice, interesting small movies or roles that I like.

03:00So, I don't understand when you say you only want to do heroic films because I'm very
