00:13title after knocking out his Mexican challenger in the first round.

00:17The Filipino boxing champion lived up to the expectations when he stopped Jesus Chito Rios

00:24in less than two minutes of the first round in the main event of the Pinoy Pride 32 Duel

00:29in Dubai 2 event at the Dubai World Trade Center on Friday.

00:33Dubbed the Mexico vs Philippines Challenge, the fight card also saw Pagara's older brother

00:39Jason and their a-la-gym stablemate Jimricks Haka win their fights against their Mexican

00:44foes to the delight of a partisan Filipino crowd.

00:48The main event of the night was barely halfway the opening round when Pagara launched a barrage

00:53of blows to knock down his Mexican opponent.

00:56Rios was given a mandatory 8-count by the referee but when the fight resumed, Pagara

01:01immediately landed another deadly combination prompting the referee to end the fight.

01:06I didn't expect that but I saw his opening, where my hand went in, I hit it.

01:12Jason Pagara had to work harder in disposing of Mexico's Ramiro Sissimi Alcaraz.

01:18The Filipino boxer fought with a bloodied face for most of the fight after an accidental

01:23headbutt by the Mexican left a cut under Jason's left eye in the first round.

01:28The Mexican was deducted a point for the accidental headbutt but the fight remained intense as

01:33the Mexican employed hit-and-run tactics to move around the hard-hitting Filipino.

01:38The fight was stopped in the 8th round after another accidental headbutt by the Mexican

01:43aggravated the injury under Jason's left eye, prompting the ring physician to halt

01:48the fight as the Filipino was no longer fit to continue.

01:51The result was therefore decided by the judges' scorecards, which had a falling winning by

01:56unanimous decision.

01:57I didn't expect a headbutt from him, I wasn't that aggressive in the fight, I didn't think

02:06that I had a cut here, I didn't stop the referee but I still got two cuts on my face.

02:17I still got a headbutt from him.

02:20Veteran Filipino boxer Jim Rex Haka defeated Pablo Montiel via unanimous decision.

02:25I got a headbutt from him, I got knocked out, I was just coughing, I was always coughing

02:36because I was hit, I was dizzy, so I recovered, my dizziness was gone, my coaches told me

02:49to just keep on fighting so I wouldn't get hit because I was ahead, that's what I did.

02:56Dubai-based Filipino boxer Larry Abara also had a big win during the event.

03:00Abara knocked out his Indonesian counterpart Tony Arema in just 54 seconds of the first round.
