00:10Abu Dhabi field police officers will carry high-resolution digital body cameras to document

00:16and use footage for training purposes, the Ministry of Interior has said.

00:20Attached to officers' chests, the cameras are capable of recording up to eight hours

00:25of video and have already been distributed across police stations in the capital.

00:30The South Carolina legislature passed a bill early today to remove the Confederate flag

00:35from the state capitol grounds after an emotional 13-hour debate over the controversial banner.

00:40The flag, which dates back to the 1861-65 American Civil War, is a symbol of slavery

00:46and racism for many and Southern heritage for others.

00:50The bill, already approved by the Senate, passed a third and final vote in the House

00:54of Representatives and now goes to Governor Nikki Haley to be signed into law later today.

01:00London's subway network remained closed today amid a strike over pay for running a

01:04new night service. Commuters crowded surface railways and roads were snarled with cars

01:09and buses while thousands more cycled or stayed at home.

01:12The 24-hour walkout is due to end tonight, though London Underground said the tube will

01:17remain closed for the day with some disruption continuing into Friday.

01:21Bill Cosby's first accuser has asked a judge to release the comedian's full deposition

01:26in her sex assault lawsuit.

01:28Andrea Constance's lawyer said that Cosby, his lawyers and agents broke the confidentiality

01:33agreement that sealed the 2006 court settlement.

01:37Meanwhile, Walt Disney World officials say a bronze statue of Bill Cosby is being removed

01:42from the Hollywood Studios theme park.

01:44And finally, the weather. Today's high across the UAE will be 45 degrees Celsius, dropping

01:49to 32 degrees at night.
