00:23top stories at this hour. Visitors to Dubai's Global Village can buy

00:28entry tickets at self-service machines starting next week, according to a senior official.

00:33There is typically a huge rush to buy tickets at payment counters before entering the sprawling

00:37outdoor shopping and entertainment venue. More than a million visitors entered the park

00:41within one month of its opening on November 6th. That's the highest opening month turnout

00:45in its 19-season history. Anti-Islamist candidate Beji Khaid al-Sabsi

00:50has claimed victory in Tunisia's first free presidential election, but bitter rival and

00:55incumbent Munsif Marzouki has refused to concede defeat. Tunisians took to the polls

01:00on Sunday for the leadership runoff vote. Official results aren't due until tonight,

01:05but shortly after polls closed, al-Sabsi's campaign manager said early indicators signaled

01:10a victory for the leader of Nida Tunis party. The UAE's energy minister, Soheil Mohammed

01:16al-Mazroui, says OPEC's decision not to cut production was correct and the oil market

01:21will recover soon. He was speaking at the 10th Arab Energy Conference in Abu Dhabi on

01:26Sunday. He said oil prices fell due to massive oil production by non-OPEC members and other

01:32countries who've entered the market recently. Peter Jackson's final installment of his six

01:37J.R.R. Tolkien adventures, The Hobbit, The Battle of the Five Armies, has come out on

01:42top of the US box office. For an industry reeling from the cancellation of the interview

01:47and terrorist threats against moviegoers, Middle Earth provided reliable refuge. The

01:52film has raked in $90.6 million in ticket sales in the US since its release on Wednesday,

01:59according to studio estimates. It released here in the UAE on December 11th. And finally,

02:04the weather. Today's high across the UAE will be 24 degrees Celsius, dropping to 19 tonight.
