00:00As the entire country gears up to celebrate the United Arab Emirates' 39th founding anniversary

00:10on the second day of December, we can find people everywhere busy decorating and painting

00:15their houses, cars, and just about anything with the U.S. national colors, red, black,

00:21white, and green.

00:23Every corner of Dubai and Abu Dhabi that we have visited are all set for the celebration.

00:28Most offices, commercial establishments, and residences are putting up flags to show

00:33their love for their country.

00:35UAE motorists are also mounting flags on their vehicles.

00:38Gulf News went around town to witness the preparations for the big day and to ask the

00:43residents what this year's National Day means to them.

00:46I love my country.

00:48My country for us, like life, good life give us.

00:53UAE helped me a lot, especially for my career growth.

00:57As an individual and employee, it helped me to develop my social skills, to interact

01:03with other nationalities.

01:33Among the business places in town are the stores selling different kinds of UAE decorations

01:39and memorabilia.

01:40Shops are showcasing a wide variety of products from flags of different sizes, t-shirts, hats,

01:46stickers, wristbands, and a lot more.

01:49One can even find UAE versions of the Vuvuzela, all uniquely decorated with the UAE colors.

01:55People never run out of ideas when it comes to preparing for the UAE National Day.
