00:00This was our third tour with those guys, but they're like family to us, so it was as easy

00:12as it could be.

00:13It's going to be awesome.

00:14Those guys are really good friends of ours.

00:15We've done a few shows with them before, but this will be the first proper tour, so

00:16we're looking forward to it.

00:17We've been trying to plan something like this with them for years, actually, so we're

00:18really excited.

00:19I'm going to go ahead and just put it out there.

00:32You too.

00:33Let's do it.

00:34I was really heavily influenced by the 90s grunge era.

00:41Live, and Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden, when I started really getting into music.

00:46Elton John, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppelin, of course, so many different influences that

00:51I'd still pull from.

00:52I went and auditioned.

00:53It was just something that my wife had been trying to get me to do for years, and I kept

01:00saying, no, no, no, but after, I guess, playing in the same places over and over and not really

01:06feeling like you're getting any more recognition or getting seen by the right people, it just

01:10felt like the right thing to do, go out and take a chance, get in front of producers and

01:15hope that they like you, and the rest is history.

01:20Touring the world and seeing places I never thought I'd see in my life.

01:23For one, coming to Dubai, this is the first time I've ever been.

01:27It's just been an incredible experience, all together.

01:31When I was on the show, people always cling to the fact that Simon told me no on my first

01:37audition.

01:38They seemed to forget that he was quite the fan afterwards, and he was always a big supporter

01:42of me.

01:43I've seen him on numerous occasions after the show, and he's always been super awesome

01:47to me.

01:48He's kind of always the guy I wanted to impress.

01:52I don't know.

01:53I mean, I had many aspirations growing up.

01:55Wanted to be a comic book artist.

01:56I wanted to be an actor.

01:58Everything was some sort of artistic outlet.

02:00Obviously, I would be happier doing any of those things as opposed to working where I

02:05was at a car dealership.

02:10It's a tough industry right now, music in general, and you've got to be in it because

02:16you love it.

02:17You've got to play the music you love and not chase the trends or try to be something

02:21else for the sake of fame of it or anything like that.

02:24You've got to do the music you love, otherwise people see right through that.

02:32High energy rock show.

02:33It's going to be loud.

02:34It's going to be awesome.

02:36We're going to play all the songs that hopefully they know and maybe even some, and we're

02:41just looking forward to having a good time and playing for them for the first time.

02:45We're very excited.
