00:03I don't really have an opinion on it. I don't mind it. I think it would be good

00:07to bring more money into the city. I think it'd be good to get more tourists in the city as well.

00:16Well, I think for overseas visitors, I don't think it would put anybody off.

00:20No, I don't think so. It would.

00:21But we're sort of Yorkshire visitors, so I'd like to think that actually that didn't apply

00:25to us as a YEO resident. But other areas in the world do it. So if it protects the

00:31environment and looks after the city, maybe it's not a bad thing.

00:35In York, they're thinking of putting a tourism tax on things. What do you think about that?

00:41I don't really agree with it. And I know everybody does. I don't. But I don't agree

00:46with residents having to pay full price for things and not being able to get into museums and things.

00:53So maybe a residence reduction rather than a levy on tourists.

00:57Somebody said yesterday that you can get a card, but I don't know where you'd get a card from.

01:01You know, they're not making it very popular. They're not saying to every resident,

01:05years ago, you could just get a card, pick a card up from somewhere.

01:08If you're a York resident, and you have to take a bill. But now it's a bit more.

01:16things like travel lodges, that would be good. But I wouldn't want to put people off going to

01:20like independent rentals.

01:26But it might make housing more affordable for local residents if there's less competition.
