00:06during a broadcast of a basketball game, NBA or college, are Hubie Brown and Bob Knight.

00:12You could never watch a game with either one of them without learning something about the

00:18They taught you about basketball from a coach's mind, brilliant coaching minds like Hubie

00:27Brown and Bob Knight.

00:29I would put in the fourth tier of that, of coaching and teaching, would be my good friend

00:35Digger Phelps, who was screwed by ESPN in the end of his career, but he was such a great

00:42talent and teacher of the game.

00:45There's nothing better than watching sports and being taught something, as opposed to

00:50watching Tom Brady show his $800,000 gold watch and butcher the game.

00:57Don't tell me he didn't butcher that Super Bowl.

00:59He didn't know what down it was.

01:01He didn't know what time it was.

01:03He didn't know what quarter it was.

01:06That never happened once in 53 years with Hubie Brown, ever.

01:12And I don't care how long he called games, he never did that once.

01:16And that guy, when you watch the game, he was 91 in that game yesterday at 5-7 Milwaukee.

01:21You would have thought he was 35 years old.

01:23The guy was still calling the game like he sounded 35, 40 years ago.

01:28I mean, it was unbelievable.

01:29I was like, this guy still sounds good.

01:32He looks like Tails of the Crypt.

01:34He's like on desk doorstep, it looks like.

01:37He looks so old.

01:38My wife walked in the room and said, is that a person?

01:42I said, yes, he's doing his last game.

01:44She goes, he looks dead.

01:45I went, he's 91.

01:48She's like, he looks awful.

01:49I'm like, just get out of the room.

01:51I don't even know what you're talking about, it's Hubie Brown, woman.

01:55And I love Hubie Brown.

01:57I thought yesterday was a special day.

01:59And watching all those NBA people suck up to him, he deserved every minute of it.

02:05The whole idea of that job is you should, when the game is over, the person watching

02:12at home should have learned at least one thing that they did not know about the game.

02:18And that goes not just for basketball, NFL, baseball, hockey, any color analyst should,

02:25you should, it's like they're there to teach.

02:28They know, their people are there, they know a lot about the game, and they should be able

02:32to give you something that you didn't know.

02:37And those guys are great at it.

02:39They certainly are, all the guys that you have listed there for that.
