00:00In the 9th Asian Winter Games, Filipino-American short track speed skater Peter Gross-Klose

00:06shared his celebration after his campaign in the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China.

00:12Here is the story of our teammate, Daryl O'Claris.

00:17Although the Philippines was defeated in the field of short track speed skating,

00:22the Filipino-American speed skater Peter Gross-Klose still showed great courage and skill

00:28in his battles in the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China.

00:34Gross-Klose's campaign was ranked last Friday,

00:37where he immediately showed his skills after making it to the semifinals of Men's 1500m

00:43and to the quarterfinals of Men's 500m and 1000m.

00:47But the 17-year-old short track speed skater ended his weekend

00:52before making it to the medal rounds of his three race events.

00:57To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed.

00:59Today in particular, I was 0.01 seconds away from qualifying for the semifinals.

01:06But, you know, this is a hard competition.

01:09I knew that coming in.

01:10And so, I think I can't be too depressed about it.

01:15I need to keep going, keep training.

01:16This isn't my last competition of the season, so I still have more to look forward to.

01:21Even though he didn't win a medal in the Asian Winter Games,

01:24Gross-Klose was still positive about his battles in Harbin, China.

01:30I learned my lesson.

01:31I've gotten more experience from this competition.

01:33So, it's not like it was a complete loss.

01:37I can still take the lessons I learned from today and the whole competition

01:42and take it with me on further competitions.

01:46Gross-Klose was also thankful for the warm support he received from the Filipinos.

01:52If I'm an inspiration to anyone, I'm just so flattered about that.

01:58And it really motivates me to work hard and try my best and fight for my supporters.

02:07And in terms of the support that the Philippines has given me,

02:13I've just been so grateful for what they've given me.
