00:00Here's today's Derbyshire Times video bulletin.

00:03A new bar inspired by the famous Chesterfield nightclub,

00:07The Aquarius, has welcomed its first customers.

00:10Aquarius Bar took over the premises

00:12previously occupied by the Hot Blant Pub

00:14at the Batch House on Sheffield Road

00:16and offers a wide selection of drinks,

00:18including draft beers, cider, cascades and cocktails.

00:22But what makes the bar truly unique

00:24is a special memory wall,

00:26which features photos and memorabilia

00:27from yesteryear's Aquarius nights.

00:30Nostalgic visitors can also enjoy a selection of photos,

00:33which were originally displayed in the Aquarius nightclub.

00:36The official launch night,

00:38which is set to take place tonight at 6 p.m.

00:40on Friday, February 7th,

00:42will feature live music,

00:43including popular 70s and 80s songs,

00:46as well as a special performance by Bernie Clifton,

00:48a local legend who started his career

00:50as competent in the Aquarius club in 1972.

00:54The bar has plans for weekly

00:56Rewind the Clock nights on Fridays,

00:58which will see sounds of the Aquarius days all night long,

01:01as well as videos of cabaret acts

01:03that once graced the famous stage.

01:07A community champion is appealing

01:09for Tea Party hosts and drivers

01:11to help make a difference to the lives of lonely

01:13and isolated elderly people.

01:15Tom Oxley is a volunteer Tea Party coordinator

01:19for charity Re-Engage,

01:21which supports senior citizens

01:22who are more than 75 years old.

01:25He said,

01:26we have one driver and there are a few hosts

01:28going through the onboarding process.

01:30We have a list of guests who are ready and waiting.

01:32We just need more volunteers.
