00:00The Minister of Home Affairs, Saifuddin Assyution Ismail, said he would revoke the current status of prohibition against the controversial preacher, Zakir Naik, to give a speech in Malaysia before making an official statement.
00:14He said so in response to a request from MP Vigana Batirau of the Ministry of Home Affairs to provide an explanation on the status of the prohibition.
00:25A report suggested that Zakir gave a speech in a programme in Perlis last month.
00:30Earlier, the media reported that Zakir gave a speech at the 2025 Sundah International Perlis Convention, which was held on January 24-26.
00:40In the question-and-answer session, Zakir was accused of inciting Malaysian Muslims to spread Islam to non-Muslims.
00:49It was also reported that the Malaysian people did not fully comply with the laws that allow the spread of Islam.
