Postumous live album by Los Angeles soul-infused blues-rock group Pacific Gas & Electric. It was supposed to have been released at the same time as the Lawrence Schiller movie "The Lexington experience" (a documentary of the band playing at a federal drug rehab center in Louisville, Kentucky, August 1970). Disputes with a music publisher caused the movie to be shelved by court order, and the "Live and kicking" album was never released until 2007. Good acid blues rock, with light r & b influences as well as some soul, no studio tricks or enchancements in this superb jammed performance.
Charlie Allen - vocals. Ken Utterback - lead guitar. Brent Block - guitar. Frank Petricca - bass. Ron Woods - drums.
