Former World No. 1 Simona Halep 'at peace' with tennis retirement

Former world number one Simona Halep explained her decision to retire from tennis at the Transylvania Open.

00:00I don't deserve to complain every day, because performance is a complain from my point of view.

00:05And being away from the field during this period, I realized how hard it has been for me in the last 15 years.

00:13Every day I work, no matter how I feel, I have to keep quiet about myself at the most.

00:20Maybe life means something else, that's what I understood during this period and I want to enjoy what I live now.

00:29I did a lot in tennis, I'm sorry, I'm happy with what I did and I think it's time to move on.

00:37I'm sorry, I know I did nothing wrong with tennis and I'm clean, so it didn't affect me at all mentally,

00:47but it took me out of the circuit, maybe it was meant to be, maybe that's how the system was,

00:52but I'm here, I'm emotionally well and that matters the most.
