00:17Depends how you ask the question. I mean that's that as with all opinion polls,

00:20how do you ask the question? How do you slam the question?

00:22You're quite a fan of opinion polls that they put reform ahead of conservatives and Labour.

00:27It does depend on how you ask the question and I'm trying to understand from you how you will

00:32accept that there are a lot of people in this country who want closer ties with the European

00:38Union and it doesn't seem that you can outline how you will accept that ideologically.

00:44Well we voted Brexit, we voted to leave. That was very, very clear. We can be friendly,

00:48we can be cooperative. I've no doubt...

00:50What's that mean?

00:52And I thought well I think the deal that was negotiated by the Johnson government

00:55wasn't a very good one. We can improve on that but the most important part is we don't tie

01:01ourselves specifically...

01:02You keep saying what we shouldn't do but what is your vision Nigel Farage specifically?

01:07We are a global trading nation. The European Union is diminishing every single year and I

01:12keep hearing this stuff about what an important trading market it is. Every single year that

01:16goes by it becomes smaller and smaller.

01:17But what does being friendly mean? We're not mates in a pub. What does being friendly mean?

01:22Can you commit to something?

01:24Uh we can improve the deal but we must not tie... well by saying to them look we can make this

01:30easier for both of us. We can go back through and we're up for a renegotiation anyway. My fear is

01:37that we tie ourselves to EU law. That we start to accept single market regulations and the many

01:43indications from this government...

01:45But you're still not saying what?

01:46That's what they intend to do.

01:47You keep outlining your fears and what you don't like but you're now an MP,

01:51you're the leader of a party. Don't you need to say what we can do? What can that fisherman hear

01:58from you?

01:58I'll tell you what we can do. We can do a free trade deal with the USA. We can look across

02:02the rest of the world and we can also recognise that if we want to turn the economy around

02:07the biggest problem isn't our overseas trade. It's the desperate, desperate lack of productivity

02:14within the United Kingdom. Yes of course the EU is an important market. No one's denying that

02:18for a moment. But with every year that goes by it becomes less important. Let's think bigger.
