01:02A Taiwanese actress named Barbie Shu passed away at the age of 48.

01:07Barbie became famous here in the country in 2003 because of the Taiwanese TV series, Meteor Garden, where she played the role of Sunshine.

01:17That show was a phenomenal hit that started the Asian Novela craze here in the Philippines.

01:22According to the actress, D. Shu, Barbie died of influenza-induced pneumonia while her family was on vacation in Japan this Chinese New Year.

01:36Barbie's brother said,

01:52She was survived by her Korean husband, South Korean husband, DJ Koo, Jr., and her two children.
