Dallas Mavericks fans can't disguise their frustration at Luka Doncic leaving for the Lakers in a shock trade

00:01One of the dumbest, most ridiculous trades I can imagine.

00:05It's one of those things, it's just why.

00:10Just doesn't make sense why we would make a decision to trade away such a young,

00:16young player that really is a once-in-a-lifetime thing of folks like Jordan and Kobe.

00:22I mean, that's the kind of player that you just traded away.

00:25Really, we're going to trade a 25-year-old top five, top three player for a top 20 player

00:33who's older, who doesn't fill the same area, doesn't, you know, doesn't do the same things,

00:38goes to our already well-established front court for another first-round pick.

00:45We're trading the face of the franchise,

00:47somebody who Mark Cuban said he would divorce his wife over.

00:50It makes me nauseous.

00:52Luka should have been a masked player for life.

00:55He was another dirt, like, that we all, everyone, every fan wanted Luka to play his career at

01:01Dallas.

01:01It just feels like we were robbed.

01:03That's what it feels like.

01:04For this to just kind of happen in the middle of the night, I never ever expected this to

01:09And to be traded to the Lakers of all teams, I think is a very frustrating point for me

01:13too.

01:13I lived those Lakers years.

01:15They've always been a good franchise.

01:16They've always won a ton of games.

01:17And for Luka to go to that franchise, that stings just a little bit more.

01:21We believe that it sets us up to win, not only now, but also in the future.

01:24And when we win, I believe the frustration will go away.

01:31When Luka Doncic comes to knocking, it doesn't matter what's on that plate.

01:36You want that Luka Doncic meal.

01:38You know, you're going to give up that other buffet meal and you want that filet mignon.

01:42Not to say that Anthony Davis wasn't a filet, but Luka Doncic is a special, special player.
