00:00It is expected that less than 40 social media personalities will face the first public hearing of the House Tri-Committee tomorrow

00:09on the issue of fake news and disinformation in the country.

00:13According to the House Committee on Public Order and Safety Chair Dan Fernandez,

00:18who will be leading the hearing,

00:20they are also calling on the bodies of the major social media platforms in the country

00:24like Facebook and TikTok.

00:26Also, the officials of the various government agencies,

00:31every Filipino has the right to the truth

00:34so the public should be protected against the misinformation

00:39that causes fear and division in the country.

00:44They should not be allowed to use social media

00:47to deceive our fellow citizens,

00:52Tomorrow, the judges are also expecting
