00:00When you heard your name nominated, what went through your mind considering who else is nominated?

00:07Come on, who are you up against?

00:09So it's Taylor, Billie, Sabrina, Chappell, Charlie, Andre, and who have I missed out? Taylor? No.

00:17No, you said Taylor.

00:18Taylor, Beyonce, Billie, Sabrina, Chappell, Charlie, and Andre. That's everybody.

00:23Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you.

00:24And me. It's an unbelievable thing. It's a wild, wild feeling.

00:28Have you heard from any of the other nominees?

00:30Yeah, we've sort of been in touch.

00:32Okay, who have you been in touch with? Who are you texting? Are you texting with Taylor Swift?

00:36I wish I could say that.

00:37Are you texting with Chappell?

00:38I'm not texting with Chappell.

00:39Andre?

00:40Not Andre either, but me and Sabrina have spoken, and it's always nice to see Billie.

00:44It's a funny old thing, because I don't think it's possible to be nominated for anything.

00:47Maybe unless you're Taylor or Beyonce.

00:49And be like, yeah, of course.

00:51It's always a total surprise, and we're all just doing our best to make the things that matter to us.

00:56That's all I can say I've done, but I'm so thrilled that an album as weird as mine has been nominated.

01:01It gives me a lot of hope in a weird way.

01:03My album has over 100,000 people on it from all over the world.

01:07It's like this massive community of people that mean so much to me.

01:10So it's really thrilling to be standing on their shoulders in some ways and celebrating all of that today.

01:15Tell me about the blue pin.

01:16Oh, the blue pin is an important pin.

01:18I don't think there's ever been a more important time for music than right now.

01:22I think it has alchemic properties, and it can cut through all the defenses we have as people to heal us in a very specific way.

01:30I'm so proud and honored to be here at the Grammys.

01:33I think at a time where the Grammys has never meant more.

01:36It's never stood for more.

01:37The pivot to support the people in need right now with these crazy fires is an amazing thing to do.

01:42It's a really inspiring thing to witness.

01:43I think there's a slightly different tone to the carpet than there is usually.

01:46I think you probably feel the same, but I love that we're doing what music does best,

01:50which is taking its power and shining a light on something that needs support and love.

01:55We're handing them out at the top of the carpet, right?

01:58They were, and I love that.

02:00What are you working on next?

02:01Do you know what? Right now, I have not yet decided what is next, which is a nice feeling.

02:06I've spent the last 10 years knowing what's going to come next.

02:09This album that's nominated is the fourth volume of a four-album series, so now I'm just chilling.

02:14Who do you want to work with? Who's your dream collaboration?

02:17There are so many people here.

02:18Taylor, Andre, Sabrina.

02:20Ray. I'd love to work with Ray.

02:22I think Ray makes music straight from the chest, straight from the heart, and I love her for that.

02:26She's so grounding and courageous and cool and just badass.

02:31I think she's great.
