Tech N9ne is ecstatic about Kendrick Lamar's upcoming Super Bowl LIX halftime moment ... given the fact that K. Dot and then-future Grammy sensation Jay Rock got their first big break on his 2010 "Independent Grind" tour!!!

00:06And people still talk about how they used to see him on the side of the stage every

00:08night at my show when we were on tour together.

00:11And he always spoke highly about him learning how to be a performer and this, that, and

00:19the other.

00:20Boy, has he become incredibly unbelievable on stage.

00:30We rehearsed a lot before tours, so every night he would watch that I would do the same

00:34moves on every hit of each song.

00:39I got a move that I do every night, and it's like a routine.

00:45So I think he paid attention to that.

00:48I think he paid attention to me and Chris Calico, the uniform and not just plain clothes,

00:54Which he can do both, and I can do both as well.

00:56But I think they looked at all that.

01:26and he did Good Kid, Mad City the year after.

01:30Right when Good Kid, Mad City was taking off, you know?

01:35But a lot of people don't know that I think on all sixes and sevens, he was on a song.

01:40The first song we ever did together, we did first was I Love Music with him, myself, and

01:46my relative Marcus Yates, you know?

01:49We did I Love Music, and nobody knew who he was, and he was rapping on my record.

01:53Then the one after that, you know, Here Comes Fragile.

01:57Power 106 in L.A. was the first people to start spinning it.
