00:10In a publication on the social network Truth Social, the U.S. President assured that he

00:16would not allow the creation of an alternative currency or the backing of currencies that

00:22challenge the supremacy of the dollar, threatening to impose 100 percent tariffs on members of

00:27the BRICS and exclude them from U.S. market if they proceed in their attempts.

00:32Since 2023, the BRICS has been discussing the possibility of creating a common currency

00:37backed by commodities, an initiative that although still at a theoretical stage is causing

00:45concern in sectors of U.S. politics.
