How would you sum that one up?
00:03
It's a difficult one for the players now. We came here with real hope.
00:07
We knew exactly it was going to be very tough against Toronto at home in the first match.
00:10
We knew it was going to be a real challenge.
00:12
We were really well up for that match.
00:14
We thought by the time we'd come to half time we'd sort of got ourselves,
00:18
we knew what was going on.
00:20
I think we played really well for a long period of the second half.
00:22
We just caught a bad goal in the momentum and shifted towards the end.
00:26
New rules are going to take time.
00:28
It's a strange game. It just doesn't flow the way a normal game flows.
00:31
You know, you're watching boys, three men stand up and not come back.
00:35
At times the game just became very dead with an extra player in the half
00:38
and the goalkeeper coming up before the twelfth man.
00:40
So, I just don't know.
00:42
It's not really, I think, what people envisage as being an open, free-flowing football.
00:45
Is there anything like that?
00:46
Still a few positives though. I know it's not the result you wanted,
00:48
but I mean there's a few boys put their hands up.
00:50
Brenton was excellent. There's a few things to build on.
00:53
Aye, and that's Brenton's first game for a long time.
00:55
I think Shane's first game for a long time since they played for us last year in the Championship,
00:58
which was a long time ago.
00:59
So, there is a lot. It is going to take time.
01:02
I think we'll be disappointed in ourselves that we did create a lot more chances
01:07
if we didn't take them.
01:08
Especially when you're on top.
01:10
There was a period in the second half where Gerry were well on top,
01:12
but they missed a number of chances.
01:14
And you have to take the end of the other team into our own
01:15
because you always knew.
01:16
I even feel that this team are going to come again.
01:18
They're not going to go away.
01:20
And we didn't find that gap to give ourselves a bit of security
01:24
going into the last dip.
01:26
So, that's disappointing, but no excuses.
01:28
We have plenty of work to do.
