00:14The fiscal amnesty, which ended on December 31, constitutes an opportunity for the reintegration
00:20of taxpayers into the formal economy and a factor in the recovery of investments.
00:25These are the words of the Minister-Delegate in charge of the budget, Fouzi Larcha.
00:29The minister insisted on the importance of the stability of legislative visibility to
00:34strengthen the confidence of companies.
00:36Fouzi Larcha mentioned the developments concerning the VAT, the tax on companies and the tax
00:42on income, while underlining that future adjustments will be defined according to
00:47economic performance and the needs of small and medium-sized companies.
00:51The efforts deployed in fiscal matters have allowed the increase in tax revenues to
00:56reach nearly 300 billion dirhams in 2024.
00:59According to the same source, the strategic investment of 2025, estimated at 130 billion
01:06dirhams, will prioritize renewable energies, water management and new technologies, while
01:12supporting employment through the extension of the investment chart to very small and
01:17small and medium-sized companies.
01:19In Morocco, as always, the port complex of Tangier-Maid has treated more than 10.24 million
01:27containers in 2024, representing a 18.8% increase compared to 2023.
01:34This increase is due to the confidence of operators in the improvement of facilities
01:38and in the optimization of stops.
01:40The port also managed 516,842 trucks, or 8.1% more, and welcomed more than 3 million
01:49passengers, an increase of 13%.
01:52Although solid and stagnant freight traffic, the volume of hydrocarbons has declined by
01:5822% due to their transfer to other ports.
02:01A total of 142 million tons of goods have been processed, with 17,479 maritime escales
02:10including 1,217 meganavires.
02:13In national economic news, the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social Economy
02:21and Solidarity are piloting an ambitious project to enhance 16 tourist villages distributed
02:27in several regions of Morocco, with a global budget of 188 million dirhams.
02:33The program, which extends until 2026, allows the implementation of tourist development
02:39in the 16 selected villages.
02:41Each villager will benefit from support for the improvement of existing infrastructures
02:46and the creation of new suitable tourist infrastructures, whether in terms of
02:52unprecedented accommodation or cultural and leisure infrastructure.

03:02The Turkish Central Bank has lowered its directorial rate from 47.5% to 45%, anticipating
03:10however a possible rebound of inflation in January.
03:13This second drop in two months comes after inflation fell below the 45% mark in December
03:21in an annual slide.
03:22To face the flames of prices fueled by the weakness of the Turkish pound, the bank had
03:27raised its directorial rate from 8.5% to 50% between June 2023 and March 2024.
03:35Inflation, which had exceeded 75% in May 2024 in an annual slide, slowed in December
03:42for the seventh consecutive month to 44.3% over a year.
03:48At the heart of international economic news, solar energy also supplanted coal for the
03:55first time in the European Union in 2024 and allowed it to be part of renewable energies
04:01at almost half of the electricity production by the age of 27.
04:05The production from gas decreased for the fifth consecutive year and the total production
04:12of fossil fuels reached a historically low level, according to the Omber Reflection Circle
04:17in a report on electricity in Europe.
04:20In total, the strong growth of solar energy and the recovery of hydrogen energy accounted
04:25for 47% of electricity production from the age of 27 to 29% for fossil fuels.
04:34In comparison, renewables accounted for 21.4% of electricity production in the United States
04:41and 30.2% in China, according to the International Energy Agency in 2022 in the United Kingdom.
