00:00The target of the Philippine Statistics Authority is for the printing of national IDs to be complete.

00:06The details are in the change of the country of J.M. Pineda of IBC 13.

00:13One of those who still haven't received a printed national ID, and until now, it's still digital.

00:20Worry no more, because this year, the Philippine Statistics Authority is targeting to complete the printing of national IDs.

00:28But, this is in violation of the additional funds that can be given to them.

00:33Our update on printing is we are working on a decentralized printing, and our target really is to,

00:41given additional budget, not only from the approved budget, we hope to be able to wipe out our backlog this year.

00:50According to the PSA, almost 92 million Filipinos have registered their national IDs.

00:57Of the 55 million, they printed and sent it to their owners.

01:02So, it is expected that they will only complete the 36 million backlogs of national IDs.

01:09The PSA said that by the end of 2024, the printing of national IDs will be completed.

01:16But, because of the recent typhoons, there was a delay here.

01:20When the work is suspended, so registration basically also stops in regions that are suspended.

01:31So, if you remember, the suspension of the entire Luzon was one week.

01:36On the other hand, the PSA issued the e-FIL and digital national ID that can be used by Filipinos.

01:43The agency is now planning to have an integrated system or database

01:48for all government agencies that are connected to the PSA's national ID system.
