00:00The Department of Agriculture has not yet received an official copy of the resolution for the declaration of the Food Security Emergency on rice

00:07from the National Price Coordinating Council or NPCC.

00:10According to DA spokesperson and Assistant Secretary Arnel Demesa,

00:14even though the resolution has been approved, they have not yet received a copy from the NPCC.

00:19And because there is still no copy, the DA will not be able to do anything about it.

00:24Demesa admitted that the Food Security Emergency on rice still needs to be declared,

00:29even though the price has already dropped in some markets.

00:32Through the Food Security Emergency,

00:34the National Food Authority or NFA will be able to issue the 300,000 metric tons of rice

00:40that was purchased from farmers last year.
