00:00Matthew Stafford just completed his 16th NFL season his fourth in Los Angeles

00:06where in his first year in LA the Rams inside their own home stadium won a

00:12Super Bowl back in 2021. You see the stats this season still playing at a

00:19high level for Los Angeles guiding them to a divisional round matchup and look

00:25pretty good in that fourth quarter against Philadelphia even in the snow as

00:30well. But Donnie anytime you see a guy that was drafted first overall in 2009

00:37when a season comes to a close you are going to have a conversation about his

00:41future in the NFL. So buy or sell Matthew Stafford will retire in the offseason.

00:50I was selling that down the river stop the madness here there's been no talks

00:53of him saying he wanted to retire. I know he's been banged up and injured at

00:56times here but they got his career even in Detroit and in LA. But you have to

01:00understand the optimistic side where if there was a time to retire it would have

01:04been post Super Bowl win. I don't know if my body can go through this maybe we're

01:08gonna lose some players to free agency and things aren't working out because

01:10after the Super Bowl things that worked out all that great for the Rams. But this

01:14year is one of those let's wait and see approach. I got some young players I

01:17don't even know if I'm gonna get to the playoffs and then they absolutely got to

01:20the playoffs by winning a division. He said you know what they got a really

01:24good defensive line a young up-and-coming team now at this point.

01:27Finally some money to spend with some draft picks who can the cool is my wide

01:30receiver I'll catch it anywhere. Who knows what Cooper Cupps gonna do I got a

01:34good running back in the backfield and I just generally like playing football and

01:37being happy in Los Angeles. So this is a pretty easy decision for me when talking

01:41about Matthew Stafford which I would be put it this way shocked if he retires

01:46like it's 50-50 this point and I'll buy he's coming in no shocked if he retires

01:50here. There are a lot of positives in Los Angeles unless his wife goes on

01:54podcasts and say boy him and Pukunukuwa hate each other couldn't get along with

01:57Cooper Cupp can't relate to this younger generation what do you want him to do

02:00then is to apologize and retire because he can't go back up in that locker room.

02:04But outside of that yeah he's coming back.
