00:00Children are always guarded by their loved ones.

00:03A 1-year-old boy got sick after drowning in the Balde.

00:08Mark Salazar has a report.

00:10John Nalin was very worried.

00:15He did not expect that his 1-year-old son John Andre Tinapay would end his life in the Balde.

00:23He was playing outside the house with his 2 other siblings, 3-year-old and 6-year-old.

00:30My son called me and said he got sick.

00:34He said he got sick.

00:37He said he got sick.

00:42The older brother who drowned in the Balde, John Andre, was found.

00:47His head is swollen even though the Balde is not full of water.

00:53The boy was revived and sent to the Rural Health Center.

00:57But after a few hours, he came back to life.

01:00His family is calling for financial assistance for his survival.

01:05According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, in 2022, 17 people were found to have drowned without a 1-year-old.

01:13More than 300 children aged 1 to 4 were found to have drowned.

01:20Authorities are reminding to take good care of the children.
