00:05leaders prepare to deal with US President Donald Trump.

00:13Six people have been killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli attack on the Jenin refugee

00:17camp in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

00:21The Israeli military says it was conducting a counter-terrorism operation in the area,

00:25which is known for militant activity.

00:27Jenin has been a frequent target of Israeli raids during the 15-month Israel-Hamas war.

00:32Violence in the West Bank has escalated significantly since the conflict began, with over 800 Palestinians

00:37killed in Israeli operations.

00:39Meanwhile, in Gaza, a ceasefire is holding for a third day.

00:43Many residents are returning home to find their neighborhoods in ruins.

01:07The United Nations reports a significant increase in aid deliveries, with over 900

01:11trucks entering Gaza since the truce began.

01:19The families of the three released Israeli hostages delivered a joint statement expressing

01:24their gratitude to all parties involved in securing their return.

01:28Romi Gonen, Emily Damari and Dorange Timebreaker were the first three hostages released by

01:33Hamas after a ceasefire deal with Israel went into effect on Sunday.

01:57The three women, ranging between 24 and 31 years of age, spent 15 months under Hamas

02:02captivity in Gaza, after being captured in the group's October 7, 2023 attack on southern

02:08Israel.

02:10The family members thanked their government for finally moving forward with a deal that

02:13facilitates the release of hostages, as well as mediators Qatar and Egypt.

02:19They also had lots of gratitude to U.S. presidents involved in the deal, Joe Biden and Donald

02:24Trump, particularly the latter.

02:45The families say the young women are doing well, noting that it will be a long road to

02:49recovery.

02:51We've urged the families of all hostages still under captivity to continue protesting to

02:55ensure the government fully implements the deal and all hostages are released.

03:05More than 60 people have died and over 50 were injured after a fire broke out at a ski

03:10resort in Turkey's Bolu province.

03:14The blaze started on the restaurant floor of the 12-story resort before it quickly spread

03:18throughout the building.

03:21The cause of the fire is under investigation, but local media suggested that the wooden

03:26cladding on the exterior of the hotel may have accelerated the spread of the fire.

03:32They added that the hotel is on the side of a cliff, hampering efforts to combat the flames.

03:38Two of the victims died after jumping from the building in a panic, according to Bolu's

03:42governor.

03:44The fire occurred during the school semester break when many skiers from Istanbul and Ankara

03:49head to the Bolu mountains.

03:53Other hotels at the resort were evacuated as a precaution and guests were placed in

03:57hotels around Bolu.

04:09Bisphenol A is now fully banned from coming into contact with food products.

04:14As of Monday, the European Union has prohibited the use of this endocrine disruptor in food

04:20containers.

04:21This chemical, commonly found in cans, food storage containers and water bottles, can

04:26contaminate food products.

04:36Bisphenol A has been listed as a substance of very high concern under REACH, the EU flagship

04:45chemical legislation, since 2006 for its properties as toxic for reproduction and for its endocrine

04:53disrupting properties for human health since 2017.

04:57So these are the main concerns about Bisphenol A and Bisphenol A is associated to health

05:05concerns such as breast cancer, neuro-barotrauma disorders and diabetes.

05:12The European Union is a pioneer in banning Bisphenols, however this prohibition is the

05:18result of a long scientific and political process considered too lengthy by NGOs.

05:24It has been a long awaited decision.

05:28Scientists have been calling for the ban of Bisphenols for more than a decade.

05:32There's been a report on Bisphenol and the concern about Bisphenols from the European

05:36Environment Agency more than a decade ago.

05:40So it's been a long process and we're hoping now that the follow-up decisions and steps

05:47for the use of Bisphenols in other consumer products will come quickly.

05:53The NGO hopes the European Union will agree to broaden the ban on Bisphenol A, with the

05:59next potential target being children's toys.

06:10Russian President Vladimir Putin had a call on Tuesday with Chinese President Xi Jinping,

06:15as both leaders prepared to deal with US President Donald Trump.

06:20The two leaders emphasized their strong personal ties, which Putin said do not depend on the

06:24current international environment.

06:27We jointly stand for the establishment of a more just multilateral peace and order.

06:34We are working in the interests of ensuring indivisible security in the Eurasian space

06:40and in the world as a whole.

06:42At the same time, Xi expressed hope for positive ties with the US in a call he had with Trump

06:47on Friday, something China's foreign ministry spokesperson re-stated after Trump's inauguration.

06:54China is willing to strengthen dialogue and communication with the US in line with the

07:00principle of mutual respect, peace and co-operation, cooperation and win-win cooperation, and to

07:05properly manage and expand mutual benefits cooperation.

07:07I hope the US and China will move in the same direction and jointly promote China-US economic

07:12relations, stability, health and sustainable development.

07:17Russia's top diplomat said the interests of the United States haven't changed with Trump

07:21taking office.

07:22The interests of the United States have never changed, regardless of whether they are Democrats

07:31or Republicans in the White House.

07:33This interest is to always be stronger than any competitor.

07:39Putin has also noted that Moscow is open to dialogue with the Trump administration on

07:43the conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing the need to respect Russia's interests.

07:51Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday welcomed his Armenian counterpart

07:56for bilateral talks that included the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan tensions.

08:03The meeting comes after Armenian Prime Minister repeated the intention to leave the Collective

08:07Security Treaty Organization led by Russia.

08:11Lavrov said Moscow was ready to assist in the normalization of relations.

08:41Azerbaijan and Armenia relations have been on and off for over three decades since both

08:54nations fought a bloody war in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

09:02As he did during his first administration, Trump is once more pulling the US out of the

09:07World Health Organization.

09:08He also ordered a comprehensive review of US foreign aid spending.

09:12Both moves fit into his isolationist, America-first approach to international affairs.

09:17So we paid $500 million to World Health when I was here and I terminated it.
