00:00A fire broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Turkey's Kartalkaya ski resort on Tuesday,

00:08claiming at least 10 lives and injuring 32 others.

00:12The Bolu provincial government said the fire began around 3.30am in the hotel's restaurant

00:17area before quickly engulfing the building.

00:21They said two victims died after jumping out of the building in panic.

00:25Emergency teams, including firefighters, disaster response units and medical personnel

00:30supported by helicopters, were dispatched from neighbouring cities to assist in the

00:34rescue efforts.

00:35The building has been badly damaged and authorities have evacuated about 234 guests from the hotel.

00:42The cause of the fire is under investigation.

00:45The Kartalkaya ski resort is a popular destination among holidaymakers in the winter, especially

00:51during school holidays.
