00:00Can you tell us more about the spray technique that you have developed for spraying in the gardens?

00:07Earlier, when there was spraying in the gardens, you would see a man carrying a sprayer,

00:14and he would spray, and there would be a drum behind him.

00:17It would take a lot of time to spray in the big gardens.

00:22After that, what happened was, to increase the speed of the spraying,

00:27mechanical sprayers came.

00:29And a mechanical sprayer is the one with a factor.

00:32There is a big 1,000 litre tank behind it,

00:35and it sprays with mechanical pressure.

00:38But that technique was not intelligent.

00:42It would spray where it was supposed to,

00:46but it would also spray where it was not needed.

00:49So what we did was, I have been working in LADAR technology since 2003.

00:54We have done a lot of work in this.

00:56By using LADAR technology, we have given intelligence to this mechanical sprayer.

01:02Our LADAR sensors first generate data, which we call data.

01:09And our computer algorithms, on the basis of that data,

01:12know where there are trees and where there are no trees.

01:15And this information, where there are trees, we communicate to the sprayer.

01:20Now the sprayer will spray where it is needed.

01:25Otherwise, it will not spray.

01:27Sir, where has this been trialled?

01:29Has it been done by any ministry?

01:30First of all, we did its trial in our IT Kanpur,

01:32on a small robot called Husky.

01:34That was the first prototype.

01:36We did the second prototype in Sonepat.

01:38We did that with our industry partners.

01:41Thirdly, this trial has been going on in IT Kanpur for the last 10 days.

01:46Now, in the next three months,

01:48we are going to do its trial in the fields of different farmers.

01:51So this will be a UP farm?

01:53This will be a UP farm, a Haryana farm, a Maharashtra farm.

01:57It will be at this place.

01:58Haryana and Maharashtra farms.

02:00As you said, in the next three months,

02:02this production will start.

02:04This is our attempt.

02:05And a farmer will spend at least Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 60,000.

02:08We feel that when we make it in volume,

02:10we will make the entire prototype of the technology

02:13and give it to our industry partners.

02:15And then they will manufacture it.

02:17So we feel that in the next three to four months,

02:19we will start giving it to the farmers.

02:22The farmers have already shown interest in it.

02:24They want to buy it.

02:31We are now testing it in the farmers' farm.

03:02is this LADAR technology similarity being used?

03:05LADAR technology is a very old technology.

03:08As I said, I have been working since 2002.

03:10And the use of LADAR technology to make intelligent sprayers,

03:13some people have tried to start it in the last one or two years.

03:19And what we are doing is

03:20a uniqueness.

03:22That is to reduce its cost.

03:24So in this, end-to-end system design,

03:26end-to-end PCB writing,

03:28we have done all this at our end.
