00:00National Team Figure Skater Paolo Borromeo shared what he will do to prepare for his campaign in Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games in February.
00:12This is the center of the news of teammate Darin Ocrales.
00:18After his 5th place finish in the Sofia Trophy last week in Bulgaria,
00:24the National Team Figure Skater Paolo Borromeo will now focus on his upcoming fight in Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games in Arangkada from February 7 to 14.
00:37Borromeo will be one of the national players in the quadrennial winter multi-sport event where he will be with his fellow figure skaters Sofia Frank, Katherine Limketkay, Isabela Gamis, and Alexander Corovina.
00:54It's like really big and I'm hoping to kind of give everything I have and so, you know, there's no more holding back.
01:04We're gonna try and put everything I can in my programs, pull out all the jumps that I can and yeah, just more training, more skating.
01:11According to Borromeo, he stopped figure skating since 2016 and this November was the 100th anniversary of his return to the competition.
01:21In fact, Borromeo was named champion in the Philippine Skating Open and because he got 5th place in the Sofia Trophy,
01:29he is now qualified for the International Skating Union or ISU Four Continents World Championship that will be held this February in South Korea.
01:39I've spent like the whole year trying to get strong again and, you know, work on my routines and kind of get used to being on the ice.
01:48I was able to luckily have time before Sofia to kind of reset and pull myself together and kind of refocus and retrain and, you know,
01:56it's really only the first step in goals that I set for myself, you know, so I'm glad that it was achieved.
