00:00I am from District Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. I am from Ghumarvi.

00:07My mother was a retired teacher.

00:12I did all my schooling from Ghumarvi.

00:17After completing my pre-medical education, I did my MBBS from Tanda Medical College.

00:24After passing out, I did my MD Medicine from IGMC Shimla.

00:30After that, for 5 years, I served as a Periphery.

00:35I served as a Periphery in ESI Hospital, Parwanu.

00:38Since 2019, I have been working at Nahan Medical College.

00:43First, I completed my senior residency here for 3 years.

00:47After 3 years, I have been working here as an Assistant Professor, from 2022 onwards.

00:53My mother has been my biggest source of inspiration to become a doctor.

00:59My mother had a breathing problem.

01:02Because of this, she used to have breathing problems.

01:08When I was a child, I was from a low middle class family.

01:13When I was a child, I used to go to government hospitals to get my mother checked.

01:20At that time, I used to feel that a doctor who talks to a patient with a lot of empathy,

01:26who treats the patient with a lot of love,

01:29who guides the patient,

01:31who interacts a lot with the patient.

01:34When I was a child, I used to like those doctors.

01:38I always used to say that my mother will show only them.

01:41They talk to me with a lot of love.

01:43When I grew up, I felt that I would come to this field.

01:49I will practice only in a government set-up.

01:54In my medical career, I got a lot of options.

01:58In my private set-up, I got a lot of options to join a good package.

02:03But I choose to be a doctor for underprivileged people.

02:12I want to be their doctor.

02:15I want to help people who can't afford good medical facilities.

02:21I want to help people who don't have the resources to go ahead.

02:27I want to help people like that.

02:29I grew up in a background like that.

02:32So, by the grace of God, I found all those ways.

02:38I became a doctor.

02:40That's why I am in a government hospital.

02:42I try to make sure that people don't feel that there is no one in a government hospital.

02:51We go to a private hospital and get good medical treatment.

02:55Government hospitals will give you the same treatment as private hospitals.

03:01We will give the same protocol treatment to every poor person.

03:06It is my duty.

03:07When you treat a patient with love, the patient gets attached to you accordingly.

03:15You form a bonding.

03:17I always wanted to behave well.

03:21I wanted to put myself in their shoes.

03:25I wanted to see how much pain the patient is in.

03:27I wanted to see how much mental agony the patient is in.

03:29I wanted to give them emotional support.

03:35I have a patient.

03:37It was 2011 when I was doing my MD medicine in IVMC Shimla.

03:44My patient had an autoimmune disorder that progressed chronically.

03:49It was my first time diagnosis.

03:51She was admitted during MD medicine.

03:55I did her diagnosis.

03:57In fact, her case was so rare that I gave a presentation on it.

04:00I read the case in detail.

04:03I started her therapy.

04:06From 2011 to 2025, the patient belongs to Shimla.

04:16When I was in Parwanu, my patient used to come to me.

04:20Even though I told her many times to take treatment in IGMC Shimla.

04:24I don't need to come so far.

04:26She used to say, no doctor, we have to come to you.

04:30A bond is formed between a patient and a doctor.

04:33The more you love the patient, the more love you will get from the patient.

04:38Maybe you will get double or triple the love.

04:41I am in Nahan Medical College.

04:43The patient comes to me from Shimla to take treatment.

04:48A doctor-patient relationship becomes a spiritual relationship.

04:58I have such relationships with many patients in my medical career.
