Express & Star reporter Mark Andrews put his taste buds to the test and decide which Wolverhampton retailer sells the best sausage roll.

00:00Hello it's Mark Andrews from the Express and Star and today I am going to be

00:06tasting a few sausage rolls from retailers in the local area. Let's start

00:12with the first one we'll go from this side whenever you're ready pick up a

00:16piece of sausage try it and afterwards we just want to know the taste the

00:19texture and the appearance out of ten.

00:30It's very pinkish, light pinkish isn't it?

00:46So should we start with appearance?

00:52Appearance I'm going to say five out of ten I thought the very pinkish look to it was a little bit unappetising.

00:58Okay and can you just tell me the taste out of ten? Six out of ten. Six out of ten and the texture?

01:10Six out of ten I think.

01:13Okay so we're going to do the second option now Mark if you wouldn't mind kindly taking your choice.

01:19Slightly less vibrant in colour, the sausage looks a lot smaller and it's fairly crumbly.

01:37So whenever you're ready tell us the taste.

01:41The taste I would say six out of ten I would say.

01:48And the appearance? Six out of ten for appearance as well.

01:53And the texture? Maybe seven out of ten for texture.

01:57Okay so third option please take your choice.

02:00This one looks a bit more solid and less vibrant in colour, it looks a bit more interesting actually.

02:13So appearance? I'll say seven for appearance.

02:18Seven and what about taste? I'll go for eight actually, a bit spicier this one, I like this one a little bit better, a bit more flavour to it.
