00:00I'm with Brenda Harrison, the leader of Hartlepool Council and am I right in thinking it's the launch
00:04of the Hartlepool Stop Smoking campaign? It's the Hartlepool Stop Smoking service.
00:10So what is the service, what does it offer and how can people take advantage of it?
00:14So people can take advantage of it in any way that is more accessible to them.
00:20People who are house bound will have visiting clinicians to go and help them
00:27it can be done over the phone it can be done in person and there are various places throughout
00:34the town where they'll be able to go and there will be a lot of this information on our website
00:41on the council website so that people can help to be helped to get to where they need to be
00:47in whatever way they want that service to be and so it's really down to the people who are
00:56looking for that service and looking for that help and they will be given the best way forward
01:03for them. That sounds excellent, I just hope people take advantage of it. Yes I hope so,
01:09I think that for too long we've had people who haven't been able to access the full service,
01:17we've had people who have been very supportive, we've had navigators who are helping with people
01:25wanting to stop smoking but we haven't had the robustness of what this service will be and it's
01:32to me it's just a great progress from what we've had and actually putting more
01:42on the service in order to help those people.
