02:39A case was filed in Brahmapur police station by an officer of

02:53by an officer of Kalbhuri city corporation

02:57wherein 4 cheques were used to withdraw amount to the tune of 36 lakh rupees

03:04In this connection, the team which was led by police inspector Brahmapur and his team

03:10had successfully arrested 5 accused and recovered 30.75 lakh rupees

03:17and also we are monitoring keeping watch on the money trail and

03:21around 49,000 rupees amount is frozen which was transferred to some suspicious accounts

03:29Out of the 5 arrested, 3 are the employees who were working in city corporation

03:341 is permanent employee and 2 are working on contractual basis

03:37and 2 other arrested are the accused to whose account the amount was transferred

03:42Presently the case is under investigation and

03:45Prima facie it looks that the amount which was supposed to be deposited to a particular account

03:51which was transferred to one unused account of corporation

03:57and the same account was used for diverting these funds and illegally withdrawing

04:03In this connection, the case is still under investigation and we have arrested 5 people

04:07Whose signature was forged?

04:10For withdrawing the money, city corporation commissioner's signature was forged by the officer's PA
