00:54Today, cyber and space domains are rapidly emerging as a new battlefield.

01:08Therefore, the Indian Army must always be ready to face these multi-spectrum challenges.

01:16For this, our Indian Army has to focus on both holistic capacity building and reforms.

01:24Apart from this, friends, there is one more important point, but I would like to draw

01:30your attention to it, and that is the self-reliance of our defence sector.

01:37I have always believed that without self-reliance, without self-reliance, our strategic autonomy

01:45cannot be achieved in any way.

01:48We cannot achieve strategic independence.

01:52A country like India cannot depend on other countries for its security.

01:58I am happy and proud to say that our defence sector has taken strong steps towards self-reliance.

02:09Today, we are not only producing military equipment in our country, but we are also

02:15taking rapid steps towards exporting it.

02:18If I talk about defence manufacturing, then in the last financial year, we have produced

02:24more than 1,27,000 crores of domestic defence equipment.

02:31Apart from this, our defence export, which used to be around 1,900 crores a decade ago,

02:43has now exceeded the figure of more than 21,000 crores.

02:50In this era of self-reliance, five indigenisation lists have been launched by our three services.

03:00The total number of defence equipment, weapon systems and platforms is 509.

03:08Their production will now inevitably be on the land of India and by the hands of the Indians.

03:17Similarly, five lists have been launched by the DPSOs, including strategically important

03:26LRUs, which are known as Local Replacement Units.

03:31The total number of subsystems, spares and components is 5012.

03:39We are moving forward with great strength towards a self-reliant and sustainable defence sector.

03:46Friends, the Defence Ministry has declared the year 2025 as the Year of Reforms.

03:53Under this, we will try to carry out reforms that will increase the modernisation of the army.

04:00The Defence Ministry is trying to carry out all the reforms on its own level.

04:06But I would like to tell you that you should also think about what can be improved on your level.

04:15I am confident that your directions in the defence sector, in the direction of reforms,

04:21will definitely be helpful for us.

04:24I am confident that together we will move forward in the direction of strengthening India from the point of view of the army

04:31as well as in the direction of making it a developed nation.
