00:00There are multiple examples, there is an example of course of the freedom movement and the

00:16fruit of that movement which was the constitution which was essentially attacked yesterday by

00:22Mr. Mohan Bhagwat when he says that the constitution was not the symbol of our freedom.

00:29But also after that, thousands of our workers died in Punjab, thousands of our workers died

00:36in Kashmir, thousands of our workers died in the North East and so this party has stood

00:41for a particular set of values and we can see those values in this building.

00:53Unlike the western world which focuses on outside the self, the Indian way of thinking

01:09is about understanding the self.

01:13If you look at our great masters, they are all about understanding precisely who you

01:21are, where you come from, who you are, what your nature is and that the Bhagwat Gita is

01:30about that, Shiva is about that, Guru Nanak Ji is about that, Kabir is about that, all

01:39of them are asking the fundamental question, who are you?

01:45And this is really the fight that is taking place in India today, there are two visions

01:50of the self in India in conflict.

01:54One is our idea, the idea of the constitution and the other is the idea of the RSS.

02:02One idea says India is a union of states, we have, as we entered I saw, we have all

02:09the national languages there, equally placed together, there is no superior language, there

02:18is no inferior language, there is no superior culture, there is no inferior culture, there

02:26is no superior community, no inferior community, they are all the same.

02:32That is written in the constitution and it is symbolized by this building.

02:39On the other side, there is the idea of a centralized knowledge, of a centralized understanding.

02:50Mohan Bhagwat has the audacity to inform the nation every two or three days, what he

02:57thinks about the independent movement, what he thinks about the constitution, in fact

03:03what he has said yesterday is treason, because it is stating that the constitution is invalid,

03:12it is stating that everything, the fight against the British was invalid and he has the audacity

03:17to say this publicly.

03:18In any other country he would be arrested and tried.

03:22That is the fact.

03:23To say that India did not get independence in 1947 is an insult to every single Indian

03:29person and it is about time we stop listening to this nonsense that these people think they

03:35can just keep parroting out and shouting and screaming.

03:41That is the crux of it.

03:45The congress party has worked with the Indian people, it has built the success of this country

03:52and it has built the success of this country on the foundations of the constitution and

03:58that is what this building symbolizes.

04:00You please go inside this building and you will see the depth of talent, you will see

04:10how deeply the congress party has entered the soul of India.

04:15There is a history there, in fact we forget, as I said it is important to understand who

04:20you are.

04:21So for congress people it is important to understand who we are, what is our tradition,

04:25what is our history, who, where we come from.

04:30Please look in the building, you will see Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru

04:45and it doesn't stop there.

04:48Workers, chief ministers, governors, defence ministers, foreign ministers, all of them

04:59who serve.
