00:23I think Washington will give Detroit a game, but I didn't think that was a game yesterday, John

00:28I thought Philly played great on defense as usual and handled their business

00:33I'm shocked though Scotty that

00:35They didn't put up more than 22

00:37Because it's like at halftime I put out a message to my followers and I'm like anyone else getting Penn State Notre Dame vibes

00:45Because they had dominated the first half but yet to distance themselves and you know

00:51Green Bay would have a chance if Jordan love stops throwing the ball to the opposite team

00:56They could get back into that game that never happened by the way, so that was a lot of fun to watch

01:01He looks awful, but not as bad as Justin Herbert did

01:06Scotty I remember some of those road trips with the thrashes and I mean he was stumbling around

01:11And I could I thought I thought maybe it was a flashback to 1999

01:17You can't play like that and win a playoff game. It's bad enough

01:27Anemic they were down 21 zip they were just awful their defense was awful

01:33Their offense is stale and three and out. I don't see those problems with Philly now. Let's talk about hurts

01:40He came back from missing the games with the concussion, and he didn't have to really do that much

01:45But when he ran he was effective, and I thought Barkley did as usual great job

01:54He's played in 15 of these well 15 and a half of the games that they've played this year

03:25One thing that I know is here's what they all unite on the defense's side of the ball

03:31It's as if everybody's on the same page everybody in this town loves defense

03:37In the secondary the exciting whites are the biggest thing in tech with their that's one of the biggest t-shirt sales right now in Philly

03:45With with Reid Blankenship and of course Cooper Dejean who is setting the town on fire and again for more turnovers

03:53Yesterday this team has become a stampede of that in the last two months

03:57And I don't think there's a better team than that in the NFC

04:01But I certainly think if they end up having to go to Detroit that'll be a hell of a tough time

04:05I think that I think their defense is better than Detroit's, but I don't think I don't think their offense is better

04:13I think it'll be a great game. It'll be a great offense against a great defense something has to give

04:19Talk about the gene and and about Q. I think they're special players I

04:28Rebuilt such a part of the core of the secondary in one draft and was able to do it

04:33And it just shows where like Dallas in their own division and and the Giants have been such fools for years

04:44But it's the truth is Howie manages to go they find Zach Vaughn off the scrapheap as a special teams guy in New Orleans

04:51He ends up a pro bowler

04:53and then you end up getting two guys in the draft with your first two picks in the first 40 players and they end up

05:01Tremendous this Eagles team. That's the youngest defense in football Scottie

05:06Youngest defense and they were number one this year that tells you all you need to know

05:11They're gonna be good for a while that leaves the Eagles a little flexibility this offseason after the parade that way they can worry about

05:23So I think that the Vikings are Rams and I think the Vikings are better

05:32Business either team plays Philly. They're losing

05:42I know you're a man who speaks the truth the fact that somebody has to play Monday night football during wild-card weekend that sucks

05:50It's unfair that the Eagles have been sitting around and get to sit at home and their opponent is playing tonight flies home

05:57Overnight, you know if it's Minnesota and even if it's the Rams

06:01They got to go back to LA get try to get situated on a short week to then fly cross-country over to Philly

06:07I think the NFL scheduling stinks, even though it's gonna work to the Eagles advantage this week

06:11Yeah, I'm not gonna argue with any of that

06:13I just know that let's say none of that was happening and they were playing the winner of this game on a normal

06:20They went either way. They're just that defense is not losing to either of those teams

06:26I think the Rams have a good quarterback and great receivers

06:29I think the Vikings have a spectacular defense like the Eagles and I think it'll be a good game

06:36But they're not winning at the link. They have stripper paws on trucks and free brisket

06:41No one is winning at that place. I think that's fair

06:45We had Matt Ryan on the show last week from CBS and Matt said the same thing

06:49Is that what game what how many games have to go through Philly?

06:52and if the two that have to go through Philly, you're pretty much almost penciling them in his wins, but

06:58Look Detroit's gonna be a fun. It's gonna be a fun battle

07:01If that happens, you don't think the commanders have any juice or you think is it a juice to give him a game?

07:07Commanders last night and I hit I had four to five games

07:10The only one I got wrong last week chargers

07:12But I I think the commanders are gonna give Detroit a game like the Buccaneers did last year

07:17They had the ball but a chance to win and Baker through the pick

07:19I think Daniels obviously, it's one of the most exciting players in the NFL and he beat Baker last night

07:25That was the only good game of the lot and I thought it was fantastic

07:29I think they'll give him a game and I think they'll lose and I think it's Detroit and Philly for the world

07:34And the winner's going to the Super Bowl and that's all there's to it. I think they're at a

07:39Disadvantage having to go to Ford Field, but they're used to I think Philly can win there

07:46I don't know if I'm ready to throw them the game. Yeah

07:51Yeah, I have to see what the line is everything else, but I've said for two months that it's gonna happen

07:56I said for a month Notre Dame and Ohio State would play for the national championship

08:01Carver I and I both agreed on both of those things and they

08:05Ask you a question the new Flyers arena that's gonna open up or whatever in 2031. Tell me about that

08:13Okay, the so what they decided to do is, you know, the stadium complex in Philly where we have the basketball hockey

08:20We have well, they're gonna build on the same sort of footprint

08:23They're gonna build a brand new arena for the Flyers and the Sixers that they're gonna share and here's the story

08:30Scotty you're gonna hear within the next six months to a year that Jeffrey Lurie's building a new stadium, too

08:35And they're gonna build a new

08:38Yes, I telling you that there's gonna be a brand new complex. They're gonna add two new hotels

08:44Restaurants things like that and they're gonna make it even bigger and badass than ever. It's the best thing
